Computer Crash Means ‘Big Changes,’ New Posts Delayed Until October 26

Remember those “big changes” for Survival And Prosperity I blogged about last week? They were supposed to be implemented today. However, my laptop “crashed” around lunchtime Monday and I’ve been busy ever since trying to repair the hobbled machine. I’m going to need a couple of days to completely fix the problem. Therefore, those changes- along with any new posts- will be delayed until next Monday, October 26, when I should be up and running at 100 percent again.

Thank you for your patience with this matter.

Have a great week,

Christopher E. Hill

Big Changes At Survival And Prosperity Starting October 19

“To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.”

-Winston Churchill (British politician and Prime Minister. 1874-1965)

Starting next Monday, October 19, significant changes will be made to Survival And Prosperity. This includes:

• New posts will now be published only from Monday thru Friday (unless there’s something I think readers should know right away)

• Each day will begin with an “SP Intel Report” (if it’s warranted), where I’ll be focusing on current events locally (Chicagoland area), nationwide, and overseas which I think readers should be aware of

• Those different series of posts I’ve run since late November 2010 are returning on a regular basis. This includes:

Monday- Quote For the Week
Tuesday- Signs Of The Time
Wednesday- Project Prepper
Thursday- In Print (or On TV when I don’t have a book review ready yet)
Friday- Resource Of The Week

• Mondays will also feature the latest investment activities/recommendations of the “crash prophets”- Marc Faber, Jeremy Grantham, Jim Rogers, and Peter Schiff. If anything newsworthy concerning the “prophets” emerges during the work week, I might not choose to wait until Monday to blog about it.

• Other material related to the focus of this blog- finance/investing, personal safety, and emergency preparedness/survival- will still be published throughout the week as well.

That’s it for now. No new posts the rest of this week as I work on the rollout for Monday.

Of course, while I’m implementing these changes over the next several days, feel free to drop me a line via the “Contact” page with any suggestions you may have for making the blog better.

On a side note, I know I owe a number of people who’ve contacted me recently responses. I apologize for the delay getting back to you- a large amount of time spent blogging and charging ahead on other projects (business rollout), getting the suburban “homestead” up to speed, and family-related elder care has made it difficult to keep on top of e-mail lately. Regardless, I’ll be working hard on replying to communications in the coming days.

Thank you for your patience and your visits to Survival And Prosperity. I am grateful as always.

Gone Blogging (About Greek Bank Safe Deposit Boxes)

Sorry about the lack of material on Survival And Prosperity this week. With the most recent flare-up of Greece’s sovereign debt crisis, I’ve been busy blogging about reports that access to cash in Greek bank safe deposit boxes has been prohibited. You can read all about it over on Offshore Safe Deposit Boxes.

New material is scheduled to be published on Survival And Prosperity tomorrow.

Thank you for your patience.

Congratulations Chicago Blackhawks!

Congratulations to the Chicago Blackhawks on their 2015 Stanley Cup win…

Any old school Blackhawks fans remember the sound of the “war drums” (boarded-up windows being pounded on) raining down from the rafters of the old Chicago Stadium when play got tense?

Good times. I picked up quite a few life lessons there with my family having Blackhawks season tickets in the 80s. Like situational awareness (errant slap shots can do a lot of damage to the unprotected human body). Plus food security (using food condiments where obnoxious/drunk members of the public can access it might not be a good idea). And Ron Duguay sucks.

“Duguay sucks! Duguay sucks!”

To this day I still don’t know why this particular Red Wings player drew the ire of certain Chicago fans. Perhaps it was that rocked-out hair of his (no helmet needed).

Anyway, reminiscing over. Back to our regularly-scheduled programming…

Summer Reboot

Sorry for the lack of new material on Survival And Prosperity lately. I intended to keep up the pace of blogging after the long Memorial Day Weekend, but other projects and such required my immediate attention.

Now that my “summer vacation” away from the blog has concluded, it’s back to business as usual.

“Back to business as usual.” If only the same could be said for America these days.

New posts will be published starting Sunday.

Enjoy the weekend!

Memorial Day 2015

There will be no new material posted on Survival And Prosperity today in honor of the gallant men and women that served, fought, and died in defense of this amazing country of ours.

It is because of their sacrifice that I am able to type this today and share it with all of you.

And for that, among other freedoms they helped preserve, I am eternally gratefully.

New posts will appear tomorrow. Enjoy the remainder of this long holiday weekend.

‘Resources’ Page Overhauled

I spent a good deal of time Friday and Saturday updating- no, overhauling- Survival And Prosperity’s “Resources” page.

Broken links have been “mended,” “rogue” links added, obsolete material deleted, and the appearance tidied up a bit.

Most of the updating is complete, so stop on by if you haven’t done so in a while. You may find something useful.

New Sidebar Widget For Affiliate Marketing Partner Promotions

Spring is here. And it’s time for some housekeeping on the blog.

Due to the number of promotions being offered these days by the various affiliate marketing partners of Survival And Prosperity, a new widget has been created on the blog’s sidebar in which limited-time deals are displayed. To take advantage of these offers, head further down the sidebar and click on the corresponding vendor banner ads (you may have to head to the home page to view the promo).

I’ll still be blogging about exceptional promotions from these partners when they cross my path.

Please note that I receive a commission when you purchase items via the ads.

Thank you for supporting our affiliate marketing partners.

Enjoy the rising temps- and life anew this spring,

Christopher E. Hill

New Translation Tool, Updates To List Of Offshore Private Vaults

Hope U.S. readers of Survival And Prosperity had a nice Presidents’ Day. Some housekeeping for Tuesday:

• Regular readers may have noticed I’ve been using a particular translation tool on this blog for some time. However, because it was straining resources in conjunction with a sustained denial-of-service attack against this blog, it’s been replaced with Bing Translator. In the interest of maximum productivity for both readers and the Editor, translations are no longer automatic (based on the language of the visitor’s browser) but manual (run via the widget at the top of the right sidebar). Please let me know if you run into any issues with this rather enforced change.
• I’ve spent a good deal of time recently performing a quarterly update on a different project of mine- Offshore Private Vaults, “Overseas Asset Protection Outside The Banking System.” Specifically, I’ve been updating the list of overseas non-bank vaults that I maintain on that website. The work was pretty substantial this time around. Check it out for yourself here if you’re interested.

Have a great rest of the week,

Christopher E. Hill
