Follow-Up: Requesting Reader Help

Last week, I asked Survival And Prosperity readers on Facebook to please consider voting for a young girl I know personally- Hayley- who has a rare disease (“Childhood Alzheimer’s”) and who entered a contest to win an adaptive bicycle.

I just wanted to let you know that Hayley won the bike.

Needless the say, Hayley and her family are excited… and grateful. A huge thanks goes out to readers who took time out of their busy schedules to vote for her.

The 2016 Great Bike Giveaway was held by the Friendship Circle of Michigan, “a non-profit organization that provides programs and support to the families of individuals with special needs.”

Thank you again,

Requesting Reader Help

Dear Readers,

For those of you who are on Facebook, I ask that you please consider voting via that social media platform for a young girl I know personally who has a rare disease (“Childhood Alzheimer’s”) and who has entered a contest to win an adaptive bike. I first met Hayley some years ago at a party my girlfriend’s sister was hosting. Being the super-social type I am, I spent a portion of the time watching TV in the front room when this little girl plopped down on the couch next to me. Guessing she probably wanted to watch some kids TV shows, I brought up the guide and asked her which one she’d like to watch. As she was unable to decide, I’d pull up a cartoon, she’d tell me about the show, who the characters are, why it was “good” or not… then on to the next channel. This continued for some time until we eventually settled on Dora the Explorer, I believe. This funny, sweet kid has grown up to be a terrific young lady, well-deserving of a bike she can finally ride. With less than 2 days left in the contest and with Hayley currently in 6th place in the voting in her category (have to finish 1st to win the bike outright), I know she and her family would be grateful for any assistance you could provide. Like I said, just one quick vote via Facebook is all it takes. Voting link (under “Ways to Help #2”) and more information about Hayley and her condition below:

Thank you!

No More Blogging This Week

Regrettably, I’ve come down with the flu. As I’ve pretty much been bed-ridden since Monday, there will be no more blog posts this week. New material will appear on Survival And Prosperity next week.

Stay healthy,

I’m Back

Sorry for the lack of new material on Survival And Prosperity lately, but a number of other matters required my attention since before the holidays and right on through that period. That being said, to quote Arnold Schwarzenegger:

YouTube Video

And not a moment too soon it seems, judging by growing uncertainty surrounding the financial markets/system.

In conjunction with working hard to finally launch my carefully-crafted research business in 2016 (unless someone throws an obscene amount of money my way to mine that specialized asset protection knowledge I’ve acquired), I’ve been spending a lot of time developing my Offshore Safe Deposit Boxes blog and Offshore Private Vaults website lately.

I’ve published quite a few posts on that blog recently that may interest readers of Survival And Prosperity. “Related Reading: Banks Will Raid Safe Deposit Boxes” and “Government, Bank Wealth Confiscation Activity List Updated” come to mind here.

Going forward with this 5-year-old-plus weblog:

• New material will still be published only from Monday thru Friday (holidays excluded, and unless there’s something I think readers should know right away)
• Each day will still begin with an “SP Intel Report” (if it’s warranted), where I’ll be focusing on current events locally (Chicagoland area), nationwide, and overseas which I think readers should be aware of
• Those different series of posts I’ve run since late November 2010 will be returning on a regular basis once I get back into the swing of things. This includes:

Monday- Quote For the Week
Tuesday- Signs Of The Time
Wednesday- Project Prepper
Thursday- In Print (or On TV when I don’t have a book review ready yet)
Friday- Resource Of The Week

• Mondays will also feature the latest investment activities/recommendations of the “crash prophets”- Marc Faber, Jeremy Grantham, Jim Rogers, and Peter Schiff. If anything newsworthy concerning the “prophets” emerges during the work week, I might not choose to wait until Monday to blog about it.
• Other material related to the focus of this blog- economics, finance, investing, personal/public safety, emergency preparedness- will still be published throughout the week as well.

That’s it for now. I apologize once again for the longer-than-expected hiatus (did readers at least enjoy those Quotes For The Week?). As much as I’d like to see America on the path to an authentic economic recovery, I suspect the “times” may become even more “uncertain” in 2016- if not downright gnarly. Rest assured Survival And Prosperity will be along for the ride, still focusing on matters related to “protecting and growing self and wealth.”

Computer Crash Means ‘Big Changes,’ New Posts Delayed Until October 26

Remember those “big changes” for Survival And Prosperity I blogged about last week? They were supposed to be implemented today. However, my laptop “crashed” around lunchtime Monday and I’ve been busy ever since trying to repair the hobbled machine. I’m going to need a couple of days to completely fix the problem. Therefore, those changes- along with any new posts- will be delayed until next Monday, October 26, when I should be up and running at 100 percent again.

Thank you for your patience with this matter.

Have a great week,

Big Changes At Survival And Prosperity Starting October 19

“To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.”

-Winston Churchill (British politician and Prime Minister. 1874-1965)

Starting next Monday, October 19, significant changes will be made to Survival And Prosperity. This includes:

• New posts will now be published only from Monday thru Friday (unless there’s something I think readers should know right away)

• Each day will begin with an “SP Intel Report” (if it’s warranted), where I’ll be focusing on current events locally (Chicagoland area), nationwide, and overseas which I think readers should be aware of

• Those different series of posts I’ve run since late November 2010 are returning on a regular basis.

• Other material related to the focus of this blog- finance/investing, personal safety, and emergency preparedness/survival- will still be published throughout the week as well.

That’s it for now. No new posts the rest of this week as I work on the rollout for Monday.

Of course, while I’m implementing these changes over the next several days, feel free to drop me a line via the “Contact” page with any suggestions you may have for making the blog better.

On a side note, I know I owe a number of people who’ve contacted me recently responses. I apologize for the delay getting back to you- a large amount of time spent blogging and charging ahead on other projects (business rollout), getting the suburban “homestead” up to speed, and family-related elder care has made it difficult to keep on top of e-mail lately. Regardless, I’ll be working hard on replying to communications in the coming days.

Thank you for your patience and your visits to Survival And Prosperity. I am grateful as always.

  • New York City Bank Safe Deposit Boxes Robbed Yet Again
On April 13, I blogged about safe deposit boxes in an HSBC bank branch in Borough Park, Brooklyn, New York City, being robbed. In that post, I added: I wouldn’t go so far as to say New York City is suffering an epidemic of bank safe deposit box robberies, but regular readers of Offshore Safe […]

Regular readers of this blog know that new private, non-bank safe deposit box facilities keep popping up all over the world. Yesterday, I blogged about an article on The Telegraph (UK) website in which the World Gold Council spoke of “anecdotal reports of a rise in demand for safety deposit boxes in Germany as some customers looked for alternative options in case of further interest rate cuts.” Reading a piece on the website of Moneywise (United […]
